First thing is first, knowing your pathophysiology is what is going to set you apart from the OK-nurses. If you know your patho, the symptoms, interventions, and medications for each disease process should fall into place. You may not be directly tested on patho but you will be grateful to know it as a foundation. Thusly–PATHO, PATHO, PATHO!
As far as Pharm, for ME, it was a nightmare. I recommend working your way down; know your drug class, know the generic name, know the action, what it’s used for, side effects, and contraindications. You’ll realize the freebies are the food contraindications, they’ll come up often.
Finally, while it may seem easy, don’t forget to brush up on your math.
